Sometimes the gratitude of a nation just isn't enough Set in the near future, the Battlefield: Bad Company single-player campaign drops gamers behind enemy lines as part of a squad of four soldiers - risking it all to go AWOL on a personal quest. Featuring a dramatic storyline flavoured with attitude, Battlefield: Bad Company leads gamers far from the traditional frontlines on a wild ride with a group of renegade soldiers who decide that sometimes the gratitude of a nation just isn’t enough. The Battlefield: Bad Company cinematic single-player experience captures the freedom and intensity of the Battlefield series’ multiplayer sandbox gameplay in a dynamic world where nearly everything is destructible. Players have total freedom to be daring and innovative, adapting to and tackling challenges in unexpected Battlefield-style ways. Create sniping positions by blowing out a piece of a wall or drive your tank straight through a small house. The ever-changing battlefield forces players, their teammates and enemies to react accordingly.
The game also features the all new, objective based multiplayer game mode "Gold Rush", supporting 24 players online. Play as attackers and defenders and make full use of the tactical destruction as well as the unique vehicle experience of Battlefield: Bad Company.

Welcome to the 222nd Army battalion, B-company. This is where the Army rakes together all the insubordinates, hellraisers and troublemakers that won’t fit in any other unit. When the Rangers and Deltas are too expensive to waste, these guys are the first ones in.
They’re called “Bad Company”; a mismatched bunch of rejects selected to serve their country as cannon fodder. This isn’t the kind of outfit a lot of soldiers would join voluntarily. Getting transferred to “the B” is a punishment and a way for the generals to put all their rotten eggs in one basket.
No one starts out in Bad Company. But for some, this is where they end up. |

Better Than I Thought! July 16, 2010 Robert J. Capuano (FLORIDA) Game moves at a good pace and on easy mode is very forgiving;better than I thought it would be even baseing it on COD.........
"BAD COMPANY", SAYS WHO? July 1, 2010 G. Bowman Jr. (Greater Washington DC Metro Area) "BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY" is like being in a big screen movie akin to "THE DIRTY DOZEN", except that you get to be an active part of the action; explosions all around you, enemy tanks aplenty, suddenly attacking you, and your "BAD-COMPANY" squad, assisted by their Air Support Gun Ships, and sneaky relentless ground troops that are determined to end your existence!
Even the Theme Song implies that you're going to be in for a thrilling good time, from the very beginning. The Single Player maps are plentiful, with good scenery, and lots of different scenarios and situations, including manning and flying a Cobra style helicopter: taking off, piloting and/or helming the Gunner's seat, landing, and if you survive the onslaught, emergency landing, fighting to find fuel and get it back in time before another onslaught of troops and armored vehicles blow the smithereens out of it!
The CG are dynamic, and there are plenty of weapons to recover from dying enemies as you and your B-Company squad race from one task to another---all the while---trying to steal as many gold bars from the enemy [and smuggling them under the noses of your regiment] as you can along the journey. It's become one of my favorite games, and I look forward to a "BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY 3"... GBJ
A fun war game with awesome maps! June 25, 2010 M. Borak (Washington, DC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have always enjoyed the games that allow a player to "explore" a wide area and approach challenges from a variety of angles. This is especially important in first-person shooters and war games in which mastering the terrain can often mean the difference between success and failure. Battlefield: Bad Company understands this, and allows the player to roam over a vast territory, using a variety of tactics and strategies to battle through the diverse and detailed maps.
The gameplay is excellent, as the enemies are neither too smart nor too stupid for a fps, and the weapons and vehicles offer an added element of variety. The one annoying part of the game is the incessant dialogue, which is sometimes funny and sometimes, well... just plain dumb.
Especially at the lower price, there is no reason any first person shooter fan should pass up this game. I've played through every level at least twice and now I can't wait to play the sequel!
What's not to love? May 7, 2010 wakked1 Well developed gameplay, equally balanced classes, wide variety of vehicle action, and just endless fun! All for $20. Way better than BC2 for 1/3 the price. :)
What's not to love? Well, some weapons are a bit better than others, and helicopters are really hard to shoot down on maps w/o AA weapons. Oh, and you might play it waaay too much. That's clearly bad.
it's fun when your gun actually breaks/blows up buildings! April 23, 2010 Cjay (California) before i played this game I was hooked up with Call of duty 4 Modern Warfare, but this game is something else, It's similar to COD4 but you could actually break stuff using your weapons! it's nice to keep on shooting walls and fences that actually breaks! you could also fire your RPG and grenade and blow up Buildings! awesome! I highly recommend this game!
